Josh is participating in the DoD SkillBridge program as an Adult Ministry Intern. During his time in the Air Force, he has seen firsthand the pain, confusion, and brokenness that is so often present in military communities. By the grace and power of God, he hopes to use his experiences, gifts, and fun-loving nature to bring the joy, freedom, and love of God into the Spangdahlem community.
As a SkillBridge Intern, Joshua receives military compensation and benefits while serving, so he does not need to raise personal funds. However, if you’d like to help support the Cadence Internship Program or the ministry with which Joshua is serving, you can do that at the following links:
Josh was born into a Christian home and was taught the joy and importance of an intimate relationship with Jesus from an early age. He has had the honor and privilege to live and grow in so many beautiful communities worldwide, beginning in high school, continuing into his early years of marriage, and most recently, through his military career. His relationship with his Lord, Savior, and friend, Jesus, is everything to him, and he desires to continually grow in love and truth until he finishes the race marked out for him.
Josh was born and raised in Bastrop, Texas, where he met his wife, Alex, at their home school co-op. They were married in 2015 and began their Air Force journey the following year. Proud nerds, avid readers, and burgeoning foodies, Josh and Alex can often be found playing lengthy board games, reading books together, or searching for the best local ramen shop with their dachshund, Lena.
