HOSPITALITY HOUSES

Near a military installation, Cadence staff have opened their home as a hospitality house. Here military personnel and their families find a welcoming smile, a comfortable couch, a home-cooked meal, and people who listen, love, and guide them to Christ. For many, the hospitality house is a home like they’ve never experienced and a model for what theirs could be. For others, it’s a life changing, course altering experience that positively affects their leadership and service the rest of their lives.

Ministry at a hospitality house usually includes Bible studies, worship, shared meals, outreach, discipleship, mission trips, excursions, and various activities designed to grow a healthy Christ-centered community.

COFFEE HOUSES

Cadence staff partner with local chaplains to provide on-base ministry through a coffee house where military people can relax, play games, enjoy a meal, participate in a Bible study, or have good conversation.

Victory Ranch

Training is intense for those stationed at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina. Cadence’s Victory Ranch offers them the opportunity to take a break, spend time with others, enjoy a place of rest, and to discover and encounter God in a loving and peaceful environment.

Student Ministry

Military teens are so aware of their need for some kind of foundation and that makes them open to talking about God. They are aware of the bigger picture. Military kids don’t just watch the news; they live the news. Every time their dad leaves the house, they don’t know if they’ll see him again.”

Kenji Fukunaga, Cadence Student Ministries, Okinawa Japan

Middle school, new school, starting over—again. What if you could be part of the most life changing move a military kid makes?

Military students are open, resilient, strong, brave, interesting, and often overlooked. In Cadence Student Ministry, we understand that they, like their parents, have a unique call on their lives. We count it a privilege to be there for them as they navigate middle and high school as military dependents.

Cadence Student Ministry (CSM) reaches military students in Europe, Asia, and the U.S. through relationships and programs designed to help them become disciples of Christ. We partner with Chapel youth groups and hospitality houses to build authentic community, have fun, and grow our faith.

Children’s Ministry

Military families move about every three years. That means military children are uprooted often. Add to that the stress of a parent sometimes deployed for months at a time. Military families need support and care!

Cadence Children’s Ministry (CCM) sees the need and is honored to serve alongside military chaplains to provide stability and help develop and strengthen a military child’s relationship with Christ.

Our staff partner with the chapel to provide weekly and monthly events that offer a safe and fun environment for military children. Each program allows them to hear the gospel through Bible lessons, songs, Scripture memory, and games. CCM outreach also extends to the military family and community.

We will not hide these truths from our children;
we will tell the next generation
about the glorious deeds of the Lord,
about his power and his mighty wonders.”

God has convinced Duncan and me that the ministry of Cadence doesn’t have to end when our soldiers and families PCS or retire from the military. Our life-giving impact doesn’t have to end when our staff, interns, and volunteers leave the field. That is why we’re thrilled to help gather alumni—our former military personnel and families, as well as our former Cadence staff and missionary kids, who have been involved with Cadence—to help grow the Cadence of tomorrow.”
