Beth currently serves with the student ministry division at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan. She arrived in November of 2018 and has thoroughly enjoyed joining Cadence’s “Team Kadena” in reaching the community with the gospel. As a student ministries worker, her focus is discipling middle and high school students, and recruiting and training adults in investing in the eternal lives of students. She loves it and considers it a tremendous privilege to join in this Kingdom work.
She previously served in student ministries (CSM) at The Lighthouse in Yokosuka, Japan (2016-2018) and at Ramstein Air Base, Germany (2010-2015). She was introduced to Cadence when she moved to Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan with her family and served as a volunteer and intern with CSM from 2004-2007.
Beth grew up in the church and has always enjoyed attending VBS, Awana, Sunday school, and youth group.

Her faith grew tremendously during college, when she moved to Kadena Air Base and got plugged into a great discipleship Bible study. During that time, she had opportunities to go on mission trips to Cambodia and Thailand, which the Lord used powerfully to expand her worldview. It was during this same season that the Lord used her involvement with a CSM youth group to redirect her steps from pursing a teaching degree to pursuing a future in student ministry.
Following her time in Okinawa, she moved to Portland, Oregon for two years of study at Multnomah Biblical Seminary. After graduation, she spent a year on partnership development before moving to Germany.
Beth was born at Shaw AFB, in South Carolina and after a short time at Grissom AFB in Indiana, her family arrived at Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota where she spent the remainder of her formative years. After a 30-year career in the Air Force, her dad retired, and her parents returned to Northern Wisconsin (where she now calls home) to be near family. Her brother is currently serving in the Air Force and is stationed at Elmendorf AFB with his family in Anchorage, Alaska.
