ADULTS

Adult ministries encompass families and singles, as well as specific ministry to women in uniform. Hospitality is one of the main ways we reach out. Whether it’s through Friday night gatherings in a hospitality house, coffee with someone, or a retreat created to refresh the soul, we know God uses open homes and open hearts in powerful ways.

Students

Cadence staff working with military teens offer friendship, Bible studies, discipleship, adventures and retreats, one-on-one mentoring, community building activities, and local and global outreach.

Children

Working alongside chaplains, our children’s staff minister to children in the military community through weekly programs and children’s church, VBS, family ministry, and special events.

Headquarters

Our Headquarters (HQ) staff, located in Englewood, Colorado, provide leadership and support to the mission and the missionaries of Cadence through the departments of Leadership, Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, Communications, Operations, Mobilization, and Pastoral Care.

LIMITED-TERM STAFF

Limited-term (LT) staff positions are designed to fill temporary needs in established Cadence ministries. These assignments range in their roles, but often the LT staff live on site and operate a ministry during a full-time missionary’s absence.

In addition to filling in for staff, we also have ongoing support roles that come alongside staff. They include, but are not limited to, the following:

Hospitality Hosts—Do you enjoy meeting new people and making them feel loved and welcome? Do you like to host and prepare meals for groups of people? Your gifts in hospitality and service can assist our hospitality house and retreat directors in this way. These hospitality roles require a genuine servant’s heart.

Teachers for Missionary Kids—Do you have training or experience in education? Would you like to teach children in an overseas environment? You could help educate the children of Cadence missionary families. You would work alongside our staff families by providing their children with a home school education.

Facilities Maintenance—Cadence relies on skilled tradesmen who can travel to ministry sites around the globe to help maintain our various facilities or assist in building projects. An ability to graciously adapt to foreign construction and maintenance challenges is essential.

FOREIGN ARMED FORCES

As influential leaders within their governments, Christian military and security forces are some of the key-holders of change in breaking cycles of corruption within their countries and influencing their entire nation for Christ.

Cadence Foreign Armed Forces Ministry reaches foreign military communities and security forces by offering professional development seminars, Bible studies, English classes, and social relief programs.

Internships

Can you make a lasting difference in a short amount of time? In military communities, the answer is yes! Military people are quick to make friends, open to authentic relationships, and often aware of their need for a Savior.

Cadence offers internships in Adult, Student and Children’s, and HQ ministry in Asia, Europe, and the United States. Internships vary in length, lasting from eight weeks to one year. While many desire a summer internship, we also have opportunities available year-round.

SHORT-TERM

A short-term internship is eight to ten weeks for young adults in which you will work alongside field missionaries, be mentored in ministry skill development, and grow in your understanding of God, yourself, and His call on your life.

“On ministry nights there are up to 60 pairs of shoes at the door signifying a full house. The food is set out on the long bar, and tables are ready to host conversations over the meal. This is home—a place where people find refuge in the otherwise whirlwind of life.”

On ministry nights there are up to 60 pairs of shoes at the door signifying a full house. The noise that you hear as you step inside is that of many people engaging with one another, some laughing, others up close to one another—eyes locked as they talk about the deep issues of life in the military, living in a foreign land, or about what God has been teaching them as they seek Him. The food is set out on the long bar, and tables are ready to host the continued conversations over the meal. This is home. It is inviting and comfortable—a place where people find refuge in the otherwise whirlwind of life.”
