MINISTRY FOCUS

As an Intern with Cadence International, Carter will be partnering with full-time Cadence staff at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio to share the gospel and his life with the military community. He will work with adults in the community by assisting local staff in teaching the Bible, leading small groups, planning an outreach event, and developing fruitful relationships with those in the military community. Carter will be trained and discipled during his internship to better equip him for Kingdom work.

FAITH

Carter gave his life to Jesus when he was young and has been growing in the Lord ever since. He grew closest to Jesus during his last few years of high school when he moved from a private Christian school to a public school in his sophomore year and experienced culture shock. This became a huge blessing as it gave him the opportunity and need to draw near to God and ask for His help, love, and fellowship. God blessed Carter abundantly during this time! Currently, he is attending Liberty University and seeking God’s face as he looks to grow in abiding in Christ and prayer.

ABOUT

Carter first heard about Cadence from an Army ROTC friend who served as a Cadence Intern last summer. He believes that God is calling him to become a chaplain in the United States Army, and this internship is an opportunity to be faithful in preparation for that call. Carter desires to grow in his relationship with God and be exposed to what ministry to the military looks like. He is so thankful to be able to grow in God’s calling on his life and develop into the man God has made him to be for God’s glory. It is astounding to think that the Lord set him apart in his mother’s womb, just as he did Jeremiah (Jeremiah 1:5)! Carter is excited to see where God takes him in life.
