MINISTRY FOCUS

The Wiesbaden Hospitality House serves young service members in the U.S. Army, Air Force, Marines, and Navy who are stationed at or on rotation within the USAG Wiesbaden area, which houses the USAREUR-AF Headquarters. David and Jodi Ruiz minister to single soldiers, young adults, civilians, and young married military couples. The Ruiz’s mission is to provide their military community a home away from home, offering both physical and spiritual nourishment. They focus on discipleship, Bible studies, ministry events, and sharing life together, based on the principle found in 1 Thessalonians 2:8.

The Wiesbaden Hospitality House Ministry (WHM) holds a weekly Adult Fellowship that includes a meal, fellowship, worship, and a lesson with discussion. In addition, the ministry hosts a weekly Bible study and meal for singles and young married couples. Beyond the weekly gatherings, WHM plans a monthly activity such as rock climbing, horseback riding, karaoke, picnics, trivia nights, or craft days. The Sisterhood ministry meets once a month for dinner and occasionally hosts a weekend retreat and an annual trip to a Polish pottery factory. Similarly, the men gather for a Brotherhood dinner each month. Jodi and David ensure that all service members have a “home for the holidays” and host an annual Christmas dinner in their home
