MINISTRY FOCUS

Established in 2012 by Bruce and Cathy Gilbert, the Wiesbaden Hospitality House serves the Wiesbaden military community with Christ‑centered hospitality and discipleship. David and Daniela Bruce supported the Gilberts’ early efforts in simple, practical ways and were grateful to be part of the ministry as it began to take shape.

David and Daniela, the current House Directors, have partnered with Cadence International since 2002, first in Italy and now in Wiesbaden, Germany. Their long‑term involvement with Cadence has allowed them to invest in missionaries, Cadence staff, single soldiers, young married couples, and chaplains. Through the Wiesbaden Hospitality House, they have encouraged and discipled many individuals and couples, helping prepare them as they move to future duty stations and guiding them towards other Cadence ministries.

The Wiesbaden Hospitality House provides a weekly rhythm of Christ‑centered community life for single soldiers, young married couples, and chaplains. Each Friday evening features a shared dinner and a time of worship that offers fellowship, encouragement, and spiritual grounding. Saturdays are dedicated to activities that build relationships and support meaningful discipleship. Throughout the week, discipleship, outreach, and fellowship remain central as individuals are guided in their faith, equipped for service, and encouraged to meet one-on-one for accountability and support. On Sundays, the hospitality house supports the chapel through liturgy, teaching, and practical ministry, with staff assisting in leading portions of the chapel service as needed. Close partnership with the chapel and its chaplains helps strengthen and unify the expression of Christ’s body in the Wiesbaden area. Together, these activities create a welcoming environment where people are encouraged, discipled, and prepared for wherever God leads them next.
