MINISTRY FOCUS

The Harbor Hospitality House, in Okinawa, Japan is located just outside of the Kadena Air Base and near several Marine and Naval camps. The Harbor reaches out to singles, young marrieds, and young families. The Harbor provides gospel-centered relationships through a variety of activities including hospitality, recreational activities, one-on-one discipleship, and Bible studies. The Harbor partners with the ministry of Kadena Chapel and seeks to serve the military community in this way.

In 1964 C.P. and Alma Tarkington founded the Kadena Christian Center, now known as the Harbor. It is the longest running Cadence hospitality house. The faithful service and leadership of many over the decades have kept the doors open to the military community.
