DESCRIPTION

During the winter months, Anchorage and the surrounding towns receive significant amounts of snow. Using the currently owned snow-blowing equipment, it takes Cadence staff almost a full day’s work to remove the snow and clear the way for people to attend events at the house. This has always been challenging for our staff who serve in Alaska but will be even more so in the upcoming season.

A new Cadence Associate Field Staff (CAFS) couple, Jon and Christine Graham, will live in and run ministry out of the Cadence-owned hospitality house near JBER. Jon is an active-duty chaplain and is limited in his ability to take on all the responsibilities of a traditional House Director.

We are raising funds to cover the cost of a tractor to assist with snow removal, which will save the ministry around $15,000 a year. It will also provide a manageable alternative to the current equipment and free up our Cadence staff to spend more time loving and caring for those in their ministry.
