MINISTRY FOCUS

Peter and Breanna Adams are called to share the love and message of Jesus by teaching, encouraging, intentionally living life alongside, and being a safe place for soldiers wherever God leads them. They have enjoyed ministering together since 2001, serving soldiers and their families since 2009.

Now stationed at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Peter serves as the Family Life Chaplain at the Pentagon and, together, as Cadence Associate Field Staff, they provide a Christ-centered home away from home for the service members stationed in the National Capital Region. Their ministry is woven together through home-cooked meals, Bible studies, worship gatherings, discipleship, conversations, and building shared experiences to foster connection and support for others in the military community.

The Adamses joined Cadence in 2024 and were previously the directors of The Soldiers Hospitality House for Fort Hood, in Killeen, Texas.

FAITH

Breanna and Peter both grew up in Christian homes and knew the Lord from a young age, fully committing their lives to Christ in college, when they were called into ministry. Their faith has been their greatest source of strength, purpose, and hope amid the unique demands of military life, with all its joys and challenges. This foundation has sustained them through every season, transition, and new assignment. They strive to share God’s love with soldiers and their families wherever they go, encouraging them in their faith and helping them find hope and community through Christ.

FAMILY

Peter grew up in Kenai, Alaska, and Breanna grew up in Seattle, Washington. They met at Northwest University (Bible College) in Kirkland, Washington. Together, through their time in the Army, they have lived all over the world. They have a large family and live by the motto, “There’s always room for one more!” They try to live that motto out in every area of their lives.
