MINISTRY FOCUS

The ministry team at Fort Cavazos’s (formerly Fort Hood) mission is to work alongside chaplains and maintain an open-door, home-away-from-home style of ministry to reach many for Christ. They accomplish this by having soldiers over for home-cooked meals, Bible studies, discipleship training, activities and retreats. Their passion is reaching single soldiers and airmen, which Fort Cavazos has nearly 10,000 of living in the barracks.

The Soldiers Hospitality House, opened in 2003 and is located just 15 minutes from Fort Cavazos, one of the largest populated military bases in the U.S. with over 40,000 soldiers permanently assigned. Fort Cavazos is home to the 1st Cavalry Division and 3rd Cavalry Regiment.
