MINISTRY FOCUS

As a SkillBridge Intern with Cadence International, Liah will partner with full-time Cadence staff at Yokota Air Base Chapel to share the gospel and her life with the military community. She will work with youth and children in the community by assisting local staff in teaching the Bible, leading small groups, planning an outreach event, and developing fruitful relationships with those in the military community. Liah will be trained and discipled during her internship to better equip her for Kingdom work.

FAITH

Liah grew up in a Christian household but came to faith in Jesus personally in 2021. During that time, she felt the Lord drawing her closer and calling her to fully surrender her life to Him. She was convicted to turn away from sin and pursue a genuine relationship with Christ. Through this journey, Jesus revealed how deeply she needed Him as her Lord and Savior. Since then, her faith has continued to grow as she learns to trust and follow Him daily.

FAMILY

Liah first heard about Cadence in 2022 while stationed at Yokosuka Naval Base, Japan. She and her husband were invited by Cadence staff, Jeremy and Shawna Quattlebaum, to a Friday night service at the Lighthouse, an experience that had a lasting impact on their lives. Liah desires to serve with Cadence because she values being part of a strong church community, especially given her active-duty military background. Liah is passionate about discipling others while also continuing to grow in her own faith through discipleship. She desires to serve the Lord by supporting and encouraging military members and their families. In her free time, she enjoys journaling, scrapbooking, and learning new languages.
