MINISTRY FOCUS

Joel’s first experience with Cadence was as a middle schooler at Camp Humphreys in South Korea. Through that ministry, Joel began to see the beauty of the Bible, the importance of community, and the joy of service. Joel is passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with youth living in overseas military communities, giving back to the next generation what he received as a child.

FAITH

Joel grew up in a godly household, and every year he is more thankful for that gift. He made the decision to follow Jesus at six, and even though he had much to learn, he built his house on the Rock at the moment of his decision. As time went on, life became challenging, but Jesus has proven Himself faithful every single day. Jesus is Joel’s ultimate hope, anchor, and peace.

FAMILY

Joel was born in Naples, Italy, and grew up as the son of an Army chaplain. With his parents and three younger siblings, Jane, Berea, and John, he has lived all over the United States and the world. He is so grateful for how that lifestyle shaped him, and for the friends and memories he has carried throughout the years.
