MINISTRY FOCUS

Jerri is delighted to serve on the Cadence Care Team! She is privileged to walk alongside Cadence missionaries and staff in the routine of life, as well as the joys, sorrows, and ongoing transitions associated with supporting the military community.

God first stirred Jerri’s love for military personnel while traveling with a Cadence evangelistic ministry in 1984, and this calling has continued throughout her adult life.

FAITH

Jerri grew up in a small Mennonite settlement surrounded by Kansas wheat fields. She heard of Jesus in her younger years but never imagined that He would notice her. At the age of 15, God used difficult circumstances to transplant Jerri into a small boarding school community near her grandparents. One weekend, her grandpa asked her if she was a Christian, and she said, “I don’t understand the question . . . I’m a Mennonite!” Together, they read passages from the Gospel of John. Her eyes were opened to see how Jesus not only noticed her but loved her. It was a wonderful day when she gave her life to her loving Savior, Jesus!

FAMILY

Jerri is so thankful for her family and for the close friends who invite her into their lives and families. These relationships help her grasp how wide and long and high and deep Jesus’ love is.
