MINISTRY FOCUS

Harrison first encountered Cadence as a bright-eyed-and-bushy-tailed boot camp graduate, soon after arriving at his new duty station in Okinawa, Japan. He met Cadence missionary Darrow Frazier, a meeting that would set the course for his life with Christ. Now, almost a decade later, Harrison has the privilege of serving the ministry that gave so much to him, returning to Okinawa as Limited Term Ministry Staff in support of the Hansen Christian Center.

Crisell is a graduate of Biola University and is working toward her Master of Arts in Biblical Interpretation in Español from Talbot. She will help serve at the Hansen Christian Center as she is able.

FAITH

Harrison was raised as a nominal, nondenominational Christian. His professed—but practically dead—faith came under serious risk of shipwrecking during his first year in the Marine Corps. Grasping for salvation, gradually over the three years of his tour in Japan and through the ministry of Cadence missionaries Darrow and Vicki Frazier, Harrison became known by Jesus Christ and continues stumbling after Him to this day.

Crisell grew up attending church on Christmas and Easter but never sought a relationship with Jesus Christ. After graduating high school and traveling the world in search of meaning, she found herself disillusioned with what this life had to offer. At the invitation of a friend, she attended a church service out of desperation and found herself caught up in the grace and glory of the true God, Jesus the Messiah.

FAMILY

Harrison is from Huntington Beach, California. He met Crisell, also an HB local, in the library, while studying for Hebrew examinations at Biola University. The bulk of their time is spent goofing off with their newborn baby, doing household chores, and enjoying their graduate studies in Bible and theology-related subjects. Family activities include frequent coffee shop visits, a lot of baby-burping and naptime, and Saturday afternoons walking the shorelines in Huntington Beach. Crisell also loves trouncing her husband in chess and Rummikub.
