MINISTRY FOCUS

Chris and Emily look forward to creating a home away from home for military members serving overseas. They will provide a place where all who enter their doors will feel loved, seen, cared for, and grow in their love and knowledge of Jesus. The Burgess family looks forward to serving meals, playing games, leading Bible studies, going on adventures, and pouring into those serving overseas with the military.

FAITH

Chris became a follower of Christ at a young age. Since then, his relationship with Jesus looks like a daily walk and a long obedience in the same direction. Emily grew up in a Christian home with many family members serving as pastors or elders. She always loved the Lord, but it wasn’t until she was a teenager at a church summer camp that she fully surrendered her life to Jesus. At age 27, she experienced deep heartbreak and hit rock bottom. The Lord met her there and showed her the power of His love, pursuit, grace, and kindness.

FAMILY

Their family of four lives in Boise, Idaho. Chris and Emily have two teenage daughters and a very sweet (and slobbery) dog. They love opening their home to their neighbors, serving in their local church and abroad, and going on adventures.
