MINISTRY FOCUS

In 2022, Greg and Heidi launched a new Cadence ministry at Naval Base Kitsap, which is located one hour west of Seattle, Washington. They provide a “home away from home” hospitality house that connects, encourages, and equips military personnel to share the gospel and their lives at home and during deployments. They also connect them to strategic resources in the area, such as local churches and military chapels, that can assist them when spouses are deployed. In addition, Greg and Heidi consider it a privilege to support base chaplains in their ministries and lives. They have a passion for partnering with local churches and showing them how they can reach out to and invest in military personnel stationed at Kitsap.   

Naval Base Kitsap (NBK), located on the Kitsap Peninsula in Washington state, spans more than 1200 acres and consists of five installations: Puget Sound Naval Shipyard Bremerton, Naval Submarine Base Banger, Naval Underwater Warfare Center Keyport, Manchester Fuel Depot, and Naval Hospital Bremerton. Considered to be the third largest naval institution in the United States with an active duty population of 14,000 and additional 41,000 family members, NBK hosts the Navy’s NW fleet in the Pacific Northwest.
