DESCRIPTION
The Hangar Hospitality House is a thriving ministry hub that serves U.S. military personnel and their families stationed at Spangdahlem Air Base. Located on a 3.5-acre property in Landscheid, Germany, our Cadence staff have been steadily working to transform a 9,000-square-foot former pig barn into a year-round space for fellowship, discipleship, worship, and outreach. Because the house on the property is not large enough to accommodate the more than one hundred people who attend the ministry each week, this barn space has become a necessity. The project plan includes insulated roofing panels, a heating system, two new barn doors, additional lighting, and floor covering. Significant progress has been made through generous donations and volunteer support, but more help is needed to complete this crucial renovation.
The ministry at Spangdahlem enjoys close relationships and community support from its long-term German neighbors. The property sits directly next to the Eifelsteig, a renowned hiking trail that runs from Aachen to Trier, Germany. Over the course of a year, hundreds of hikers pass by the property, presenting unique opportunities for future outreach and hospitality.
