DESCRIPTION
Life for military spouses at Fort Jackson is very challenging. Their soldiers work long hours, and there is little organizational support that helps them deal with the burdens of life. Our Military MomCo group is here to share life with these young women and moms, offering friendship, hot meals, childcare, and practical help in mothering. We desire every mom to know that she is welcome and can find “her people” here, but we also seek to help her know Jesus. Many families find their budgets to be very tight on a soldier’s salary, so we do as much fundraising as possible to cover the costs of childcare, hospitality, and fun for our group so that these moms have no barriers to enjoying the benefits of this community.
