MINISTRY FOCUS

Ron served as Cadence’s Chief Financial Officer from 1983 until he retired in 2006. Liz initially volunteered in the accounting department. Also during that time, she served as the registrar for OCSC/Cadence’s annual Bible Conferences for 10 years. From 1994 until 2004 she was the primary person who processed contributions at the Home Office. Since retirement, both have been involved in the ministries of Bethany Evangelical Free Church in Centennial, CO.

FAITH

Ron came to faith through the ministry of Cadence missionaries, Tom and Dotty Hash, at Clark Air Base, Philippines in 1965. As a result of his relationship with the Hashes over the next 17 years, he was invited to consider joining OCSC/Cadence upon his retirement from the Air Force. Liz came to Christ in the youth group of her church in her early teens.

FAMILY

Ron and Liz were high school sweethearts but didn’t finally realize they were meant to be life partners until he wrote a letter proposing to her from the Philippines in 1965. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2016 with their two children, spouses, and granddaughter on an Alaskan cruise. Their son Duane works in IT support for the Colorado Attorney General. Their daughter Dawn teaches in a Montessori school in the Denver area.
