MINISTRY FOCUS

From 1974-1976, Bob served in the Air Force at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany. On Friday nights, he attended the Cadence hospitality house near the base. Many years later, Bob and his wife served as House Directors at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska from 2001-2008.

FAITH

Bob was born again on the evening of September 10, 1972. Even though he was raised in a church-going family, Bob doesn’t remember hearing the gospel until he attended a James Robison Crusade in downtown Wichita, Kansas. A Second lieutenant he met at the McConnell Air Force Base Chapel that morning invited Bob to attend. This same lieutenant who was connected with the Navigators discipled Bob over the next year.

FAMILY

Bob was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He has two sisters, one older and one younger. His parents have passed into glory. He is married to Ruth Ann (Huisinga), who is originally from Willmar, Minnesota. They met in Alaska in 1990 and married in 1991. They have three Alaskan boys, all born in Anchorage. They currently live in Spicer, Minnesota, just a few miles from Willmar.
