MINISTRY FOCUS

As an intern with Cadence International, Jon will partner with full-time Cadence staff at Headquarters and several military installations to share the gospel and his life with the military community. He will work with adults in the community by assisting local staff in teaching the Bible, leading small groups, planning an outreach event, and developing fruitful relationships with those in the military community. Jon will be trained and discipled during his internship to better equip him for Kingdom work.

FAITH

Jon came to know Jesus in 2019 while attending a church service in Denver with his then-girlfriend and now-wife, Amy. He was an ex-Catholic agnostic, and Amy was a Christian who helped him see his need for the Lord. He agreed to go to church, and Jesus did the rest! He praises God that he is a born-again Christian now, attending seminary, and looking to transition to full-time ministry in the near future.

ABOUT

Jon first learned of Cadence while chatting with another couple at a small group meeting. They asked how his seminary training was going. He mentioned he was searching for an internship organization to serve with, and they suggested Cadence. When he found that Cadence headquarters are in Denver and they serve the military community (Jon is ex-Army), he felt God steering him in that direction. He currently volunteers with Kairos Prison Ministry and is working on a chaplain’s certificate with Christian Chaplains and Coaching. He is looking forward to starting his internship with Cadence in the fall of 2025.
