MINISTRY FOCUS

Chaplain Jason Owen has been serving military personnel and their families for 30-plus continuous years of active-duty service. Jason is a pastor in good standing with Calvary Chapel churches (since 2002) and is a graduate of Liberty University (Master of Divinity, 2010). He currently serves on the Cadence Board of Directors.

FAITH

Jason first heard the gospel at age 17. After curiously “interrogating” his coworker with questions for three days, he was delighted to find answers to life’s crucial questions within the pages of the Scriptures. Through the prompting of the Holy Spirit (assurance of faith in Christ alone and repentance), Jason eagerly confessed that Jesus is Lord. He has since committed himself to carrying out the Great Commission, which he believes applies to every believer in Jesus Christ (man, woman, and child).

FAMILY

He is a happy husband to Lora and a proud father of six children: Josiah (27), Talia (18), Caleb (16), Shiloh (14), Jeremiah (12), and Beatrice (in heaven, 2017). Most of the Owen team currently reside in Virginia.
