MINISTRY FOCUS
As an intern with Cadence International, Isaac will be partnering with full-time Cadence staff in Grafenwoehr, Germany to share the gospel and his life with the military community. It is a wonderful ministry and work that is going on there. He will primarily work with students, but also with the families in the community by assisting local staff in teaching the Bible, leading small groups, planning an outreach event, and developing fruitful relationships with those in the military community. Isaac will be trained and discipled during his internship so that he is better equipped for Kingdom work.
Isaac first heard about Cadence in 2022 when a Cadence rep shared about the ministry at his Bible college. The following year another rep from Cadence came during his school’s mission conference and presented again. Isaac, who also has many relatives in the military, saw the great need for Christ in the military and looks forward to sharing God’s hope through the ministry of Cadence. Isaac is currently working in construction, gaining skills he can use wherever he goes. He hopes to become a youth pastor and raise a family in the future, Lord willing.
FAITH
Isaac was blessed to grow up in a strong Christian household where he was read and taught God’s Word from a young age. He trusted in Christ at the of seven, but didn’t let that decision change his life to following closer and growing in Christ. At the age 14, he talked with another believer about eternity and from that moment on he wanted to commit his life to more actively serving and living out the hope and good news of Jesus Christ.
FAMILY
Isaac grew up in Washington state with six siblings. He is the third oldest. He was raised by his parents Phil and Lora Gomes, who run a coffee shop/café in La Grange, WY. His father is also a pastor of a church down the road from their home in Lyman, NE, where his family moved in October of 2021.
