MINISTRY FOCUS
As an intern with Cadence International, Elizabeth will partner with full-time Cadence staff at Victory Ranch to share the gospel and her life with the military community. Victory Ranch is a 17-acre retreat facility and ministry located between Fort Jackson and Shaw Air Force Base. It offers a peaceful location for military members and their families to get away from everyday distractions and connect with the Lord and each other. She will work with youth and their families in the community by assisting local staff in teaching the Bible, leading small groups, planning an outreach event, helping with youth retreats, partnering with local ministries, and developing fruitful relationships with those in the military community. Elizabeth will be trained and discipled during her internship to better equip her for Kingdom work.
FAITH
God’s love, pursuit, and freedom—these words mark Elizabeth’s journey to becoming a daughter of God and maturing in her relationship with him. She came to know Jesus during Chapel Sunday School when she was very young. He was the friend that she had always wanted. However, God’s love and pursuit of Elizabeth did not become evident to her until she experienced Jesus’ love through her father at a daddy-daughter retreat. Though she thought of herself as broken and unlovable, she discovered she was actually deeply loved and cared for in Jesus’ hands. He has continued to set her free from lies and demonic strongholds so that she can walk in complete freedom with Jesus and share with others the love and freedom that He has for them to walk in, too!
ABOUT
Growing up as a military teen, Elizabeth did not feel seen by God and others. She felt that her heart, with its hurts and struggles, went unnoticed and unknown. But over the years, God showed up. He told Elizabeth that He saw her—her pain, her struggles, her heart. She realized that she was loved and not alone. Elizabeth now wants to serve with Cadence in sharing the gospel and her life with the military teens at Victory Ranch because God wants them to know that they are not alone, either. He sees their hearts, pain, and struggles, and He loves them. Elizabeth wants to partner with God in sharing these truths with every teenager so that they, too, can walk with God as seen, deeply loved, and free children of God.
Elizabeth first heard about Cadence when she and her family were stationed in Baumholder, Germany, in 2018. They met the Cadence missionaries at the chapel, quickly plugged in, and found discipleship within the community. Elizabeth has had the privilege of being involved with Cadence ever since. She is currently serving with Club Beyond at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. After her internship with Cadence, she will move to Fort Campbell, Kentucky, with her family.
