MINISTRY FOCUS

Elise is in the process of applying to be a full-time missionary with Cadence International. She will go through a week of Candidacy, seeking God’s continued confirmation to serve with Cadence.

Lord willing, Elise will serve as a full-time student ministries worker with Cadence. In this role, she desires to proclaim the gospel to students in military communities and foster discipleship-centered relationships. Elise also hopes to engage with students and their families on and off base through hospitality, discipleship, Bible studies, and adventures! Bringing the gospel to this unique demographic is significant work, as students face not only the challenges of their teenage years and the pressures of culture but also the added pressures of a transitional life in the military. Through gospel-centered student ministry, Elise hopes to shine the light of Jesus into their unique situations.

FAITH

Elise grew up in a multi-generational Christian family. Church ministry and discipleship have always been a large part of her life. She gave her life to Christ in early elementary school and was baptized a few years later. In her junior year of high school, Elise sensed God calling her to pursue full-time ministry. This step of faith resulted in her growing love for God and ministry as she pursued education at the Moody Bible Institute. Her faith has grown as the Lord has fostered in her a deep love for church ministry and for shepherding others in their love for Him.

FAMILY

Elise considers herself a native of the Chicago suburbs, where she lives with her family. Her father is a Bible professor at Moody Bible Institute, and her mother, who homeschooled Elise and her siblings, works part-time and is involved in ministry at their local church. She is the oldest daughter of four and has enjoyed growing up with her siblings in the suburbs. Elise is grateful for her family’s support as she pursues the Lord’s calling in her life.
