MINISTRY FOCUS
Alburgue Hospitality House
The word “Albergue” in Spanish means “shelter” or “hostel.” In the context of the Camino de Santiago, it refers to a type of place where pilgrims can rest, sleep, and refresh before continuing their journey. It is a shelter for pilgrims.
Albergue Hospitality House is located at the North Great Lakes Naval base in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Mark and Dan Xu Concepcion open their home to host or assist with Bible studies, small groups, or fellowship events. They also plan outreach efforts to connect with new individuals or families in the community. The hospitality house is a haven for military families navigating deployments, relocations, or reintegration in the area. They also collaborate with local churches, chaplains, and other ministry organizations to strengthen partnerships. Their mission is to create a safe and welcoming environment where military personnel and their families can encounter Christ through hospitality and discipleship.
The Concepcions love being surrounded by people and sharing the blessings of God with others by simply loving them. They have served in several ministries, including the Re-Engage marriage ministry, which allows them to not only grow in their own marriage but also have a significant impact on other married couples’ lives. The ministry helps foster growth, restoration, and a deeper connection to God’s design for marriage by helping and encouraging couples to find a safe place to work through challenges, heal wounds, and strengthen their relationship. The Concepcions feel privileged to play a role in facilitating this process with the help of the Holy Spirit and bringing glory to God.
