David and Joyce are some of the 1980s founders of Cadence Student Ministries. David has served as the President of Cadence International since 1995. Joyce grew up in military ministry as the daughter of OCSC/Cadence founders, Dick and Margaret Patty.

Stressful assignments, long deployments, and constant mission readiness are part of the challenges military people regularly experience. They and their families are also under attack from a spiritual enemy who seeks to destroy their lives and fragment their relationships (See John 10:10).
