Nearly 2 million children have parents who serve in our military.
Cadence International Children’s Ministry serves alongside military chaplains to develop and strengthen a child’s relationship with Christ.
It is our honor to serve children living in a military community. Most of these children will move every three years and many will have a parent deployed for up to a year at time.
Cadence missionaries provide weekly and monthly events that offer a safe and fun environment for military children. Each program allows children to hear the gospel through Bible lessons, songs, Scripture memorization, and games.
Staff also work to connect these precious children to the local chapel for assistance with Christian living.
O my people, hear my teaching; listen to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter hidden things, things from of old—what we have heard and known, what our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done. Psalm 78:1-4
The media and our communities often focus on the men and women who serve our country, but how often do you hear about their families? These are often the forgotten people.
We are pleased to report that our missionaries and HQ staff rated Cadence as a Best Christian Workplace, which puts us in the top 30% of all similar missions and nonprofits surveyed.
This award is an outward expression of our internal health and a recognition of the high level of engagement and excellence with which our staff carry out their responsibilities across the mission.
