MINISTRY FOCUS

The Stiers served together for over 27 years in Army chaplaincy ministry until his retirement in 2022. Their last eight years were spent at Fort Gordon in the intelligence and cyber community. They are excited to continue serving this community. Their primary ministry occurs through weekly home Bible studies, family get-togethers, service member outings, discipleship through small groups, and individual mentorship. Their mission is simple but powerful: love God and love man.

FAITH

Tim heard the call to preach at 16. Jackie’s father was a pastor and church planter. As a young girl, she gave her heart to the Lord and was involved in various ministries in her dad’s church. Tim and Jackie met at Southeastern University and served together in local ministry. They married in 1983, after Jackie graduated. Tim graduated the following year and then served in parish ministry in Assemblies of God churches and taught school for 15 years. During Operation Desert Shield, they believed God was calling them to military ministry. Tim served as a pastor while attending Wesley Biblical Seminary, graduating in 1997.

FAMILY

Jackie and Tim were married in 1983. They have three children, whom they homeschooled during 13 military moves, and were involved in six homeschool co-ops. Their older daughter, Joy, is married to a U.S. Air Force NCO. They have two children and live in Texas. Their son, Joel, his wife, and their baby live in the Augusta area and are excited about Cadence’s ministry. Joel is an EMT with the local EMS, where he responds to 911 calls. Their youngest daughter, Charity, her husband, and their baby live in Tennessee. Charity is a combat medic with the Tennessee Army National Guard.
