MINISTRY FOCUS

Cody is currently serving with Cadence through a SkillBridge internship, supporting Kevin and Sharon Scheible and the Alamo City Cadence community in San Antonio, known as “Military City USA.” His focus is ministering to the sailors, soldiers, and airmen who have “student status” at JBSA Fort Sam Houston. In February of 2026, Cody will retire from the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer after serving for over 20 years.

As a SkillBridge Intern, Cody receives military compensation and benefits while serving, so he does not need to raise personal funds. However, if you’d like to help support the Cadence Internship Program or the missionaries with whom Cody is serving, you can do that at the following links:

FAITH

In 2008, while stationed as a young Sailor in Souda Bay, Greece, Cody began his walk with Christ, thanks to a chaplain’s ministry in his life. Since then, Cody’s passion has been to teach children about God’s love and Christ’s sacrifice. He enjoys volunteering with the children’s programs at local churches wherever he is stationed.

FAMILY

Cody just celebrated his eleventh anniversary with his beautiful wife, Stephanie, whom he met while they both were stationed at Balboa Hospital in San Diego. They have two wonderful children: Eden, who is eight and a member of the local gymnastics team, and Joseph, who is seven and is the world’s biggest cuddle bug. Their family also has two white Labradors. Cody constantly pinches himself to make sure this is truly his reality, as he feels so blessed!
