Jeff House is an Adult Ministry Intern through the DoD SkillBridge program. While his focus during his 20 years in the U.S. Air Force was construction and project management, Jeff earned a Master of Divinity with an emphasis in chaplaincy from Liberty University. He desires to use his gifts to share with his community the hope found in Christ. Whether in the workplace or community, Jeff believes the best way to minister to others is by following the Lord’s command in Mark 12:31 to “‘Love your neighbor as yourself.” By God’s grace, he intends to focus his ministry on serving and teaching others to do the same.
As a SkillBridge Intern, Jeffery receives military compensation and benefits while serving, so he does not need to raise personal funds. However, if you’d like to help support the Cadence Internship Program or the ministry with which Jeffery is serving, you can do that at the following links:
Jeff came to faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior while serving as a military instructor in Gulfport, Mississippi. His faith journey began when a co-worker invited him to a men’s Bible study, ultimately putting him on a new trajectory which changed his and his family’s lives. Discipled by a mix of fellow service members and leaders within his church, he reprioritized his life to focus from his personal career ambitions to serving the Lord and leading his family to do the same. As he’s continued to grow in his faith journey, Jeff has had the opportunity to serve with the local church at various locations around the world, at Cadence ministries in Germany, and in the communities where he’s lived.
Jeff has been married to his wife, Carey, for almost 19 years. They have two boys and two girls. Jeff’s family has been active with Cadence International and the local church since coming to faith. They enjoy exploring new places, being outdoors, and fishing. His entire family shares his love of trying new pizza restaurants!
