MINISTRY FOCUS

As an Intern with Cadence International, Abby will be partnering with full-time Cadence staff at Fort Benning, Georgia, to share the gospel and her life with the military community. She will work with children and families in the community by assisting local staff in teaching the Bible, leading small groups, planning an outreach event, and developing fruitful relationships with those in the military community. Abby will be trained and discipled during her internship to better equip her for Kingdom work.

FAITH

Abby grew up in a divorced home. Amid the challenges this brought, she was faithfully discipled by her mom. When her stepdad’s military career took her to Okinawa, Japan, she attended her first church camp and gave her life to the Lord. Since then, her walk with God has been full of ups and downs—experiencing seasons of running away, returning in tears, and finding deep healing and freedom. The Lord continues to work in her life in ways she is still learning to recognize, and she is forever grateful for His love, grace, and intentional pursuit.

ABOUT

Abby first heard about Cadence when her family was stationed in Okinawa. She and her two older brothers were active in the middle and high school youth groups there, where they met many incredible people involved in Cadence ministries. The leaders quickly became like family and consistently showed them the love of Christ. After moving away, Abby reconnected with Katie, one of her youth leaders, who told Abby about the summer internship opportunity. The chance to serve feels especially meaningful because Cadence ministries poured so much into her when she was younger. Abby wants to offer others the same love, support, and discipleship that was given to her.
