MINISTRY FOCUS

En Gedi Hospitality House is a ministry of Cadence International, dedicated to reaching the military communities of the United States and of the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Ed and Suzie minister not only to military personnel, but to their spouses and dependents as well. Their Vision is to exalt Christ in the nations through the lives of transformed military people.

At Mountain Home, they evangelize, teach, and disciple Airmen and family members by offering Bible studies, educational outings, opportunities for practical application, fellowship, home-cooked meals, and fun events. They also support base chaplains in their ministries, such as Protestant Women of the Chapel, Protestant Men of the Chapel, and other chapel services and activities.

In a manner of speaking, the Buris live their lives “in a goldfish bowl.” Their ministry is one of modeling Christ in such a way that folks can easily observe. Sharing life among their people throughout the entire week allows their values to be “caught,” as well as taught.

Because the En Gedi Hospitality House resides about 45 miles southeast of Boise and out in high desert country where there isn’t much else to do, they are in a good position to provide folks with a great option. Once folks get plugged in, they usually stay for some time, develop friendships, and grow significantly spiritually.

“We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us.” I Thessalonians 2:8 (NIV)
