MINISTRY FOCUS

Brad and Debbie are currently on home assignment from September 2023 to August 2024. They will travel around the country, visiting alumni, long-time friends, and other Cadence ministries in the U.S.A. They will also take this time to evaluate their next ministry assignment with Cadence International.

FAITH

Debbie was raised in a Christian home and came to Christ at an early age. Brad came to faith in high school. Brad and Debbie were married soon after Brad joined the U.S. Navy in 1975. After serving in the Navy (1975–1977) and graduating from Multnomah Bible College (1982), the Ellgens joined Cadence International. Between 1983 and 1991, they served as directors of hospitality houses in Schweinfurt, Germany, and Mannheim, Germany. Brad was the European Field Director from 1991 to 1993, and then they moved to Denver, Colorado, where Brad served as Director of Personnel for Cadence. Brad and Debbie also worked with a Gen X congregation in Littleton during those same years. While in Denver, Brad received a master’s degree in biblical counseling from Colorado Christian University (formerly Colorado Christian College).

FAMILY

Brad and Debbie have two grown sons. David lives in Phoenix, Arizona. Richard is married to Kelly, and they live in Oceanside, California.
