Serving in United States About
Bruce and Teresa met at Osan Air Base Korea while on active duty in the Air Force. It was there through the Osan Hospitality House that they first experienced the ministry of Cadence (Overseas Christian Servicemen’s Center at that time). After leaving Osan, Teresa left active duty and together they went to Guam and began their family. From there, they were assigned to Homestead Air Force Base in Florida.
In 1989, Bruce also left active duty, joined the Air Force Reserve, and became a police officer with the city of Miami Beach. By this time they had two children, Nathan and Tara, and soon after, their third child, Shaina. While at Miami Beach, Bruce was twice recalled to active duty, once during Desert Shield, and again after September 11, 2001.
After retirement from Miami Beach, Bruce went to seminary in response to God’s call. At the time he started seminary, they had no idea into what type of ministry God was going to place them. However, during the process, God made it clear to both Bruce and Teresa that they were to once again serve the military.
Bruce and Teresa along with their son Nathan Officially opened the Cadence Hospitality House Guam in Oct. 2011 and are providing Bible studies, one-on-one discipleship, counseling, and lots of food and fun. They enjoy serving God and the military community on Guam and ask for your prayers and support as they do so.
