About
The Hydes’ ministry is to reach out to the soldiers and staff at the Wounded Warrior Program at Fort Hood. They also provide retreats to the soldiers and the chaplains at Fort Hood. To meet the needs of the Fort Hood Community, these retreats focus on spiritual fitness, marriage, leadership, communication, and preparing singles for marriage. The schedule of activities varies. The most popular days for retreats tend to be Wednesday and Friday. The retreats run from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Friday evening and Sunday afternoon are Bible study and fellowship times. Biography of Ben & Doris Ben is from Maryland and went to Virginia Polytechnic Institute and Multnomah Bible School. Doris is from Ohio and went to Taylor University in Fort Wayne and Wheaton Graduate School. Both are active in the Chapel programs on Post. Ben and Doris have two daughters, Bethany and Brittany.
